North and South Carolina Laws was conceived from a need for animal, law and humane officers to have immediate accessibility to statutory animal law related to their field. Originally developed in and for the animal control field to provide officers, legal advisors and public health officials with an economical, efficient access to the laws specific to their professions. The publications are widely used by humane societies, educators, local police and Sheriff’s departments as these agencies work closer together. North Carolina Laws, in print since 1995, now in its 19th edition, is utilized by North Carolina’s 100 counties in courtrooms, legal offices, animal and health facilities and classrooms providing the only regularly updated, comprehensive and portable collection of applicable animal related laws. South Carolina Laws, in print from 2005 has been revived after repeated requests. North and South Carolina Laws saves counties, cities and organizations countless hours in research and financing while freeing up officers and agents to better provide professional services to their communities. Animal services and animal crime enforcement is specialized, comprehensive and unique; it's officers, staff and the citizens and animals they serve benefit from accurate, current information in the field and facility.
